2014 NAMM Show: This video, via Sound On Sound, captures an overview of the new Moog Sub 37 analog synthesizer by Moog Product Development Specialist, Amos Gaynes,
The Sub 37 is in the same ‘synth family’ as the Sub Phatty, but it offers 40 knobs, 74 switches, and has a dedicated LCD display.
In the video, Gaynes covers the Sub 37’s features in depth and also demos the new synth.
Check it out and let us know what you think of it!
30 years from now people will still be watching this on YouTube and the guy in the cardigan and green pants will be famous.
Another fine demo from Amos and a good compliment to the longer SonicState vid. Cannot wait for this one.
The lack of a dedicated pitch envelope is the only draw back… I miss it on the SubPhatty… Sure you can use the LFO but it’s not the same.
a lot of money for very little flexibility compared to that price range, but what it does it does well
This is the third time I’ve watched Amos say the same thing, and all I want is a mother video.
Shut up and take my money!
Can you chain this with slim phatty for polyphony even if it’s different architecture?
Just curiosity as I got no money for this beast so even less for a couple of slim phattys to add
cheery chaps..
Please Moog, Sub Phatty Modules next, so I can chain 3 of them on top of this! Make my dream come true.
My check is in the mail! Bring on the fatness!
