Propellerhead has updated Figure – it’s beatmaking app for iOS – adding new drum kits, additional sharing options and more.
Here’s what’s new in Figure 1.6:
- Share your songs with your friends on Facebook and Twitter
- Three new drum kits: Sonny, Code and Boom Bap
- Bug fixes
Figure is available in the App Store for US $.99.
If you’ve used Figure, let us know what you think of it!
Figure is one of my favourite of all times go-to sound making app. I have started quite a few beats on it that made it into actual songs later on – either completely mangled and reworked or even straight out of audio output. The swing, shuffle and sidechain compression are simple, straightforward, but effective. And with a bit of creative energy, you can get so much more out of it than the first five minutes might indicate.
But sharing your songs on Facebook and Twitter as the new main features? Seriously, give me a break.
P.S. TR-BOB is still my favourite drum machine name.
Export as a MIDI file would be nice.
Yes! Exactly! Midi export for Figure is something I’ve thought about ever since it came out.
Gee, I am sure glad that I have the ability to share my masterpíeces with the world. Now all I need is a social/environmental philosophy to go with it and, dude, I am set!
Kinda lame this FB and T sharing… (new drum kits are awesome!)
Two thumbs up,really nice app,I would like to request that the user be able to take the rhythm from 16 being the highest to 32
