At the 2015 NAMM Show, Cakewalk was demoing SONAR Platinum – the top-of-the-line version of their Windows DAW.
In this video from the NAMM Show floor, Cakewalk Product Specialist Dan Gonzalez demos the new SONAR Platinum.
SONAR is available in several versions priced from US $99 to $499 to purchase, or $9.99 to $49.99 per month.
See the Cakewalk site for more info.
I have the latest versions of Sonar, Live, Reason, and Logic. That’s a statement (problem?) to be evaluated in a different thread. I’m a gear whore. I digress. I find myself loading up Sonar for nearly everything. The program has been fantastic and a favorite for quite a few iterations now. The skylight interface and workflow are brilliant, and I just love the ProChannel.
Sonar is a DAW that deserves more attention than It gets. I am really looking forward to this release and the new subscription model.
Eh? Nothing new worth considering since Sonar 8.x. That version does everything! Why do I need the newest Sonar? I don’t, that’s why. I checked out Sonar X-something, and so many things had been changed it was like a whole different program to learn. If I wanted a new interface, I’d switch DAWs!
Subscription stinks
Not comprehending that you’ve got two options instead of one now stinks.
Nothing new worth considering since Windows 3.1. That version does everything! Why do I need the newest Windows? I don’t, that’s why. I checked out Windows X something, and so many things had been changed it was like a whole different program to learn. If I wanted a new interface, I’d switch OSs!
