Rob Papen today shared this sneak preview of Vecto – a new Rack Extension software synth for Propellerhead Reason.
Papen has not shared details yet, other than to say that Vecto will offer more than 600 presets and it will be released June 10, 2015.
Have never much been interested in spending time w/ RP stuff for Reason, strangely enough, because of how it looks. None of it is inspiring to look at, is the nice way to say it. Things like, god-awufl UI, also come to mind.
Are you implying the VSTs look better than the rack extensions? Or just saying you dont like how his stuff looks? I assume the latter since they look the same.
I personally find his VSTs and Rack Extensions to be the best sounding virtual instruments out there and i own them both for reason and VST platforms – predator has always struck me to be based off an intepretation of a virus b or c – not sure how you can go wrong with that as a gui. If you own reason and havent used predator’s arpeggiator to control other things including hardware through the virtual cv connections on the back of the rack you are missing out!
Strangely enough, i prefer the Sound of a plugin over the UI…
I couldn’t care less what a synth looks like….it’s really the sounds and capabilities that
matter to me. The UI doesn’t make the sound….
That being said, does anyone know if there is-or-going to be a VST version of this synth ?
I REALLY like the sounds.
Sounds absolutely great Rob, both the sounds and the effects. Not many hardware or virtual synths out there at this level. Reminds me very much of the SY99, Prophet VS and adds modern sounding stuff to it.
