Synth and sound designer Taiho Yamada has published an sampler of the sounds he created for the new Dave Smith Instruments OB-6:
“In February, I completed a set of patches for the Dave Smith Instruments OB-6, and I’m happy to report that quite a few of them made it into the factory preset banks. I’m so proud to have been a part of this project! The OB-6 is a monster synth from two legends of our industry (Dave Smith and Tom Oberheim), and it was a ton of fun to program. ”
The OB-6 is a 6-voice synthesizer, with all-analog signal path and discrete VCOs and filters, developed in collaboration with Tom Oberheim.
Boasting a sound engine inspired by Oberheim’s original SEM (the core of his acclaimed 4-voice and 8-voice synthesizers), the new instrument is designed to provide true, vintage SEM tone with the stability and flexibility of modern technology.

So very much. Wish I hadn’t already ruined my kidneys.
Gotta love soundcloud having no volume control on they’re web player. Good way to drive traffic to there website so you can turn the volume down.
wish i could like this more than once 🙂
No volume control on your computer?
Module will not be a rackable version. 🙁
Does anyone know when the module will be released? No info yet here in the UK…
