Pricing and Availability
SampleTank 2 for iOS is available now for US $19.99. Additional sound libraries are available as In-App purchases.
I downloaded it and it is buggy. Sometimes the knobs just won’t react for like a second.
probably be fixed by second update
I hope the update comes soon. For gawd sakes, I’m on a new Ipad Pro 9.7.
It’s the same app as the 1st one, isn’t it?
Be warned that it doesn’t work on older devices nor does it let you re-download if you have already purchased it on an older device!
Feels like bait and switch!
RIPPED OFF!
IK is pretty terrible. The quality of samples is pretty inconsistent, and the app is annoyingly limited in terms of what you can do with it.
I have v1, and now the iPad will forever nag me about an update that is incompatible with my hardware. Way to go IK and Apple!
Feels like IK is all about getting your money then leaving you high and dry unless you are on the latest device….because everyone can obviously afford to upgrade their ipad every 10 seconds.
In fairness, since I didn’t remove the app from my device, I still have access to the older version. I had also heard that if a person was stuck that way, there was some kind of path to reinstall the older version. Still, it is a hassle.
My device isn’t THAT old (iPad 4).
Honestly, if this app disappeared I wouldn’t miss it that much (apart from the money I spent). I just wish there was a better sample player for iOS– like Kontakt or MachFive.
I heard some good things in the sound quality of a few samples I tried. Considering deleting it mostly because of the brutally confusing interface and the hogware advertisements. I actually think they are capable of delivering great products-they know what they are doing; but they botch it all up with hype and bullshit pricing obscurantism.
