Brian Funk, aka AfroDJMac, shared this video, demoing using the Elektron Analog Heat with Ableton Live.
Here’s what he has to say about the demo:
I wanted to get a look at what exactly happens to sounds run through the Heat, so I decided to use the most basic and pure of all sounds, the sine wave. I used Ableton’s Operator FM synth to generate a chord progression of simple sine waves. By watching the frequency spectrum, we can see how the Heat adds harmonics and character to this plain sound. I’m finding the Heat to be a great sound design tool that can drastically alter synth patches without touching the synth itself.
If you’ve got an Analog Heat, leave a comment and share how you’re using it!

I’m using it on an Arturia DrumBrute. If you like warm, fuzzy, minimal techno, I highly recommend them both as teammates.
