Pre-ordered from Sweetwater with 48 months interest free financing. In red of course. Not a bad deal. Sounds great. Good demos.
It’s hard to believe how much more I like the sound of this synth than I do the sound of my Minibrute. Shame about the lack of CV but the sound, sequencer and full MIDI control will make up for it.
Does the sequencer transpose sequences like the microbrute?
Yep, transposing (with or without latch) is in the 4th video.
That said, the Microbrute can have sequences of up to 64 steps while the Monilogue tops out at 16 step. Other than that though, the Korg sequencer seems considerably more full featured. You can turn steps on and off, motion sequence knobs, 100 sequence memories vs 8, real time recording, step recording to any step at any position… Funny, it’s the one that’s more like the beatstep. 🙂
I am missing an own character… but anyway a nice synth.
Horses for courses I guess. Seems to ooze with character for me.
Have mine on pre-order. Sounded SO excellent when I tried it in person at the Brooklyn Synth Expo. I don’t care much for the wood but, good god, I hope they used real wood (a la Mother 32) and not crappy digitally printed veneer like on the Drumbrute. If you’re putting fake wood on a synth it better be a hilarious homage to 80s station wagons and not some attempt to cash in on a fad.
Is that a Korg PS-3300 behind him? I wonder that means anything….
Only if the next video shows the host sculpting a PS-3300 in mashed potatoes.
Leon Trotsky and Monologue, Made my day. Thanks Korg!
