At the 2017 NAMM Show, Korg introduced Gadget for Mac – the OS X version of their all-in-one music production studio.
In addition to bringing the popular iOS app to the Mac, Korg has expanded its capabilities, by letting you use Gadget in standalone mode with the integrated sequencer, or as VST/AU/AAX/NKS plugins with your favorite DAW.

Looking forward to this. If it is priced anywhere near the iOS price, it will be a no-brainer.
Would love to see AU support in iOS both in the Gadget app and for gadgets as AUs in other apps.
I’m guessing it’ll be 10x what the base price on iOS is. Close to $300.

Should run on any PC running macOS. Won’t run on a Mac running Windows though.
More seriously, porting from iOS to macOS is pretty easy since the frameworks and OS are very similar.
I expect we’ll see a Windows version soon (?) – who knows, maybe even Rack Extensions…
In the mean time though, it will be nice to be able to use the gadgets in Logic… 😀
Not super excited about this. I’d love to see midi out on iPad version first.

Kind of magical, but the pricing is likely to be higher than I’d like.
I hope they add AU support to iOS and the OS-x version doesn’t cost more than 100 bucks.
I love KORG’s Gadget on iOS – and it’s so intuitive to use and so easy to tweak all the controls on-screen in real-time. But I’m now really going to hanker after a Mac with a giant touchscreen – like the new Windows machines – time Apple caught up with the times…
