Been having a lot of fun with this so far.
Hard to tell from this. Does it do intelligent harmonization? For example, Can you set it to C minor and have all the harmony notes fall within the C minor scale, changing as appropriate as the source material hits various notes in C minor?
No, it doesn’t do intelligent harmonization. VirSyn’s other app, “Harmony Voice” does do intelligent pitch shifting, and has a very nice selection of scales (all based on 12-tone equal– no tuning maps).
I think this “Harmony Eight” is of VERY limited usefulness because it is fixed-interval pitch-shifting rather than within a key/scale. That means you can only use it for octaves, detuned unisons, or occasionally 4ths, 5ths.
