And?
You don’t have to worry, it’s only for people who care about pristine audio quality that was available for Mac users only until now.
I could be wrong but Ive always assumed Apogee was a MAC only manufacturer. Have they never had any products with Windows support? Either way, its cool to see that they are branching out.
They looked at the data. Apple is not supporting the pros. Apple sells phones. Pros are moving to Windows 10. At first it is strange but they get used to it. They will not come back to Apple. Check out youtube. Many people are building very powerful hackintoshes 1000s of $ cheaper than Apple’s workstations. Apple does not care.
Users decide which PC’s are ‘Pro’ and nobody else. If a Raspberry Pi satisfies one’s needs, then that’s the ‘Pro’ PC for him/her.
too late, should have been day one, nothing to see here…..
I have a DUET for iPad/Mac. Love the interface and will be useful to have it windows compatible….Wish they did this a few years ago but happy to have it later rather than not at all….
I do have a Duet I bought for my iPad Pro a couple years ago. So this is only for Windows 10? I do have a Windows 10 box, but for my DAW I use Windows 7, Windows 10 is a pita .. even just for general computing
The quartet could be interesting if it is really good sounding but the others i’d say meh….
But indeed they are too late, in the meantime you get interfaces from audient and spl similarly specced and probably with the same sound quality for half the money..
Maybe they had some kind of “agreement” with Apple that has ended. Or maybe they simply did not want to bother with tech support for users of Windows.
It actually goes back to when Apogee was a Digidesign partner and they fell out.
In order to maintain they partnered with Apple.
Things have just once again gone full circle and they are expanding their offerings to accommodate their business needs.
The real issue is if it is really only Windows 10 support without Windows 7/8 support.
