A fantastic free synth. Its sound is truly outstanding, and surprisingly distinctive! Well worth a donation.
BTW, in case anybody else gets deja vu: Full Bucket’s PS-3100 emulator was mentioned here back in September, this is for the version that emulates the PS-3300 – pretty much 3 PS-3100s stacked together.
They have quite of selection of VST synths, and the neat things are free, demo sounds, and manuals.
I have been waiting for a PS-3300 VST for years (can’t find a real 3300!). This is fantastic. Thanks!
Awesome. Well done and thanks 🙂
I knew almost nothing about the Korg PS series (or the Sigma, for that matter) until i tried these Full Bucket synths. They really are breeds apart from the more simplified Prophet, Juno/Jupiter, and OBX-type architecture. Not sure how accurate the emulations are but I’m not even concerned about that, considering how much fun i’m having with them.
The PS modular line appeared around the same time as the MonoPoly, so from my experience with that, I’d say the emulation is pretty good here. The Korg filter from this period is not at all Moog-like. Its a bit more sharp, with a non-distorting, slightly-grainy feel to it. Korg’s Legacy MonoPoly is a bit like Full Bucket’s PS models: everything you like about the original hardware, magnified. (+100 for the patch memories!) I bet they’ll make a great pair.
Full Bucket has a MonoPoly emulation as well! They’ve all been recently made available on Mac OS so i’ve been going nuts.
Sounds great, hats off to Full Bucket for releasing into the free VST community!

Doesn’t load in MainStage or Logic Pro in macOS High Sierra 10.13. Instrument doesn’t appear as an available AU instrument.
Did you copy the .component file from the downloaded folder into your Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components folder? I have no problems here…
Yes, I copied both the .component and .ini files into Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components. Downloaded the plugin again and tried reinstalling it, but still have the same problem.
I have the same problem in Logic Pro X. I copied the component and ini file to the relevant folder.
This is brilliant stuff.
THIS IS THE BEST VST I HAVE EVER OWNED. & I OWN ALL POPULAR SYNTH VSTS
