Scythe is a new wavetable synthesizer for iPad that lets you import your own sounds (using iTunes file sharing and AudioPaste) and use them for wavetable synthesis.

  1. Not sure about buying it yet but visually it looks amazing to my eyes. Haven’t really heard it yet though.. Isn’t there already another synth called Skythe on IOS?

    1. Yes, but it got pulled off because of this new Scythe :(. The closest things we have to the old Scythe are WaveMapper and iPulsaret.

  2. I almost wrote this off due to some of the less favorable comments about this dev. But he kind of explained what was going back with Mutate and after listening to the PantsofDeath demo, I’m leaning towards giving it a chance. Dig the sound for sure and the interface looks very approachable. Looks like the price came down slightly too. Might have to bite on this one.
