Smart Loops, a provider of pro audio loops and web-based recording services, has released MIDI Drum Loops Volume 2, a follow up to its best-selling Volume One collection.

MIDI Drum Loops Volume 2 includes over 200 unique loops, providing over 600 measures of live drum grooves and fills. All Volume 2 drum loops were performed live by pro session drummer and Smart Loops founder Frank Basile, who has recorded thousands of drum sessions over the past 20 years. Mr. Basile performed all of the new grooves on a full-sized, industry-standard Roland V-Drums kit, creating professional-quality, real-feel MIDI loops for use with any MIDI-compatible music software.

Volume 2 loops are designed for a wide range of musical styles, including Rock, Pop, Jazz, Reggae, Country, and Blues.

The Volume 2 collection includes two different note mappings: GM compatible and GM enhanced for better realism when used with the Smart Loops SL Sample Sets. Each mapping is provided in four formats: MIDI Groove Clip, Standard MIDI File Type 0, Standard MIDI File Type 1, and Session Drummer 1.
