Smart Loops has announced that it is now shipping their Dry Studio Kit and Percussion Kit Multi-format CDs, with ACID, REX2, and Apple Loops formats on the same CD. Both CDs include over 300 grooves and samples, each in all three loop formats.

Both the Dry Studio Kit and Percussion Kit loops CDs were previously available in ACID-format only. Now users of Logic, GarageBand, Reason, ACID, Digital Performer, SONAR, Cubase, and any other compatible software can quickly create pro-quality drum and percussion tracks with Smart Loops.

The Smart Loops Dry Studio Kit CD includes over 300 unique drum loops and individual samples, each in all three formats. The loops have been recorded dry so musicians and producers can add their own effects, and mix the drums the way they want. The individual drum hits are also provided so users can easily add a drum or cymbal to an existing loop to create a new loop. All Dry Studio Kit loops were performed and recorded by Smart Loops founder and session drummer Frank Basile.

The Smart Loops Percussion Kit CD includes over 370 unique loops and individual samples of percussion instruments, including agogo, bata drums, bongos, canjira, claves, congas, tablas, timbales, and other instruments. All loops and samples are performed by international percussionist Eugie Castrillo, who has played with Tito Puente, Steve Winwood, Michael Brecker, Ruben Blades, United Nation Orchestra, Paquito D’ Rivera, Michel Camilo, among others.

Like the Dry Studio Kit, the Percussion Kit loops have been recorded dry, and the individual percussion hits are also provided.
