Sonic Studio has announced the upcoming release of SonicStudio•DDP v2. SonicStudio•DDP is the first follow–on in a series of focused products designed specifically for audio professionals.
Version 2 combines DDP open, playback and validation capabilities exclusive to SonicStudio•DDP with additional features requested by hard core practitioners such as Simon Heyworth at Super Audio Mastering in Devon, UK. The upcoming version 2 adds the ability to create DDP file sets from scratch using our exceptional editing capabilities, NGC interface and SSE real time audio engine.
SonicStudio•DDP focuses on comprehensively addressing the task of premastering and replication. Not only are ISR Codes and PQ subcodes with Indexes supported but UPC/EAN, SCMS and digital emphasis flags are also included as part of the standard feature set from the company that created desktop mastering.
You can open WAV, AIFF, BWF and SD2 files, while new, easy to use editing tools, including an improved, smart version of Sonic Studio’s Fade Tool, make quick work of compilations and versioning. In addition, Roxio’s Jam image file creation joins breakpoint gain control as part of the new feature set.
“SonicStudio•DDP version 2’s power to create DDP file sets from scratch is key to filling a gap in most facility’s modern replication workflow. We feel that the most important ability of all is to actually hand your master to duplication as either protected data on DVD or as a check disc on CD-R,” says Jayson Tomlin, Vice President of Sales & Business Development. Company President Jon Reichbach adds, “We’re rapidly moving forward with our development roadmap and this update to a key component continues our delivery of cost effective tools for budget and quality conscious engineers.”
