Livid has updated Union, a leading Mac VJ and video performance application. The update adds “Elements”, plug-ins built to extend the capabilities of Union. Elements can be developed by end users using the supplied (SDK) Software Development Kit.
There are four types of elements in Union, Sources, Layers, Effects, and Controls. They can be used to make custom effects, interface controls, and media sources to integrate into Union’s output.
Elements are developed and provided by Livid Instruments on an ongoing basis and can also be developed and easily integrated by end users or third parties using the Cycling 74’s Max/MSP/Jitter programming environment
Over the coming months Livid will introduce elements on an ongoing basis including effects and hardware interface control.
