Electronic music will be featured in the 2005 ResFest Digital Film Festival.
ResFest is a touring digital film festival brought to you by Res, a digital film magazine. The tour will showcase the works of some of the most creative artists in the world, and will travel through North America, Europe and Asia.
The featured works include short films, animated films, and two music video programs, one of which is called ‘Cinema Electronica’, focusing on electronic music. Included will be new videos from cutting edge artists The Arcade Fire, The Flaming Lips, LCD Soundsystem, The Chemical Brothers, Bloc Party, and more.
One unique new aspect of this year’s festival is the Artist Retrospective Program, spotlighting Beck. The festival will also be the arena for several special screenings of documentaries by some of the most daring directors in the genre, including the world premiere of Doug Pray’s documentary Infamy, chronicling the lives of notorious graffiti artists in major U.S. cities.
The tour will be blazing through New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago before heading to Europe. The events will include a unique mix of screenings, parties, workshops and live musical performances. More details are available at www.res.com.
