Lectrosonics has introduced the DMPA12, a digital, 12-channel, power amplifier and DSP processor in a single-rackspace enclosure.
Audio inputs are taken from the final mix bus via the Digital Audio Network Interface (DANI) bus, which is an integral part of the DM Series processors using LecNet2 protocol. These final mix signals are then processed individually at each output channel in the power amplifier to apply delay, filtering, compression and limiting, as necessary. The unit is convection cooled and provides ten Watts per channel RMS using Class D topology and can drive loads as low as four ohms.
In H-bridged mode, the DMPA12 can combine two channels to double the output power available. Front-panel LEDs show channel status, including signal present, muting and limiting. The DMPA12 can be controlled and programmed via USB interface or an RS232 serial port. Price and availability TBA.
