Errr … I don’t need to see SUCKAGE up close. I’m sure Tiesto is popular among some circles, but his stuff strikes me as the sort of music people who don’t really like music that much would buy.
Kent – DJ Tiësto may not be your taste – but you don’t get to his stature without talent. He’s a great mixer & producer both. Check out his Parade of the Athletes album!
Some people hate on anything popular. If Infected Mushroom was popular you would probably hate them too. Tiesto has released a couple of bad cd’s but the majority are good, especially ISOS 6 and 7 recently. Most of his productions are good too. Check out some stuff by Allure (one of his numerous aliases) and let me know how that is. You have probably heard so much of his muisc and not even realized it. Oh, and the man’s live gigs are hard to beat…there’s a reason all of his US dates are sold out.
Tiesto opened the Olympic games in 2004 to over 3 million people…
R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Tiësto rocks!
Kent, thank you for your remarkably pathetic input. The “sort of stuff people who don’t really like music that much would buy”?
HAHAHAHA ok Kent, listen. Perhaps you don’t appreciate trance or electronic music in general, but if you have any taste in these (which you shouldn’t need to enjoy Tiesto) then you’ve clearly missed the beat.
Tiesto has his own unique pumping, yet ethereal style. You can hear a mix and instantly tell it’s his. His sound is elegant and genuine, with build-ups and ambiances that will constantly send chills down your back. He was rated number one DJ in the world THREE years in a row for a reason (still number 2 right now), and every week he mixes a new hour-long podcast.
Kent, for you I recommend In Search of Sunrise 4- disc 2. It made me believe in God. Sit down, shut up, toke up, and chill to it
Kent sounds like you dont know an elite DJ when you hear one….saw him at o2 area this year, awsome!!!!!!! Thats from a 45 year old…Chillout man
Any you guys know when he,s back touring in England??
TIESTO HAS AN EXTREMELY AMOUNT OF TALENT. I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO THIS TYPE OF MUSIC FOR 20 YEARS, AND HE TRULY IS THE BEST.HIS LIVE CONCERTS ARE BREATH-TAKING. I ACTUALLY THINK PEOPLE THAT ENJOY THIS TYPE OF MUSIC ARE MORE OF MUSIC-LOVERS THAN ANYONE ELSE, SO I HAVE TO STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH KENT’S COMMENT. BUT I AM USED TO DEALING WITH THIS TYPE OF NARROW-MINDED MENTALITY IN LIFE. WE ARE ALL ‘SUPPOSED’ TO LIKE THE SAME THING, OR THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG, ACCORDING TO MANY. I WILL CONTINUE TO FOLLOW HIS TOUR AND BUY HIS CDS AS WELL AS DVDS. I LOVE MANY OTHER ARTISTS, BUT HE IS ONE OF MY TOP 3 FOR SURE.
Hey does any1 know or could find out if tiesto is playing Ireland this year thanx…. colleen..x
