Novation Launchpad As A DIY Harmonic Table Controller

This is a demo of using the Novation Launchpad as a sort of poor man’s harmonic table keyboard.

via hotchk155:

Using a Launchpad as a harmonic table controller (without staggered buttons).

Windows C++ program reads keypresses, maps notes and and drives Propellerheads Reason via Midi Yoke. Kind of like a poor mans Axis controller.

Apologies for the playing.. I was kind of making it up as I went along.

  1. Although I don't fancy the Launchpad myself I do think this is a pretty sleek setup, kudo's to you guys. The demo looks awesome and don't worry about the play, I've heard worse πŸ˜‰

Still, stories like these make me realize even more what kind of possibilities programs like Max for Live pack.. He wrote a full interface himself in C++ which I consider to be quite an impressive task. Max however provides functionality like this out of the box.
