“Using two USB ports, the Rane Sixty Eight mixer lets two DJs play Scratch Live at the same time, allowing for seamless handover from one DJ to another.”
This is key. As a DJ that plays on CD, it’s always annoying to have a Serato guy coming in and screwing around for a half hour with his set-up while I’m playing… Sorry if you’re one of them, but it’s better that if it can’t be done quickly and seamlessly that the Serato is hooked-up before the night starts.
However as more and more DJs are using DVS systems, the best DJ mixers will be the ones that are well-integrated with software solutions.
Cheers for the article!
