Melodyne Editor could be an insanely useful tool for remixers.

Celemony Melodyne Editor features Direct Note Access, which allows you to manipulate single notes within polyphonic material.
This video looks at Melodyne Editor’s implications in for DJs and producers who want to isolate vocals from full stereo mixes or remix songs with or without the track stems.
Much ado for nothing. Those are not notes, just clusters of sounds with the same tone.
It is good for finding a tune of the music, you can easily find the chords.
As for shifting – you can do that, but the results are really poor. You can hear it even in this video.
Try something simple, like Loituma´s Ievan Polka – you can not shift anything without damaging a song… 🙁
Btw. Works only with some DAWs, list on celemony´s website.
