Here’s a follow-up to our recent post about the Dr. Who synth that’s for sale on eBay, an EMS Synthi VCS3 with BBC connections.
This video, via simonsound1, explores modulations, tones, sweeps and other sounds of the EMS Synthi VCS3 synthesizer:
I was just recording some tones, modulations and sweeps for the upcoming Simonsound ringtone set that will be available soon. As always thanks to Pablo for the generous loan!
The EMS Synthi VCS3 is a vintage matrix synthesizer, originally introduced in 1969. Notable users include: Brian Eno, The Who, Pink Floyd, TONTO’s Expanding Head Band, Jean Michel Jarre, The Chemical Brothers & Tangerine Dream.
leave it to a woman to use this kind of machinery for something as fucking stupid as ringtones.
When is someone who actually knows how to use one of these going to post a video?
Sounds amazing 😛 Cool Synth indeed
Woah! Psycho Sounds xDDD
In fairness, it is possible to use the VCS-3 as more than just a £2000 noisemaker. It is also possible to plan a YouTube video, and re-record it if it goes wrong.
