The EMS Synthi AKS suitcase synthesizer differed from the EMS Synthi A synthesizer because it featured a built-in keyboard and sequencer.

The EMS Synthi AKS was used notably by Brian Eno, Jean Michel Jarre and Pink Floyd, among others.
