Hopefully it will have a sequencer section for clean and programming.
Hey – I'm the author of Hexaphone.
It won't have a sequencer section built in – just not enough screen space, or time. (been working on it for 18 months, and with a baby on the way, I need to launch soon!)
However, the recording files are stored in plain text (JSON). Once iOS4 is out, it should be possible to create a desktop or web-based app to create or modify the recordings, and then import them back onto the device (by mailing them to yourself, or copying via iTunes).
I want to stress the "should be" since no one quite knows how the file transfer stuff will work yet.
Hey, props for a novel note layout. This looks like it might be more intuitive for improvising with a small screen space than a normal keyboard.
@mike – thanks. The primary goal of the 6-note scale was effective use of screen space.
The demo uses the hexatonic blues scale – but there are a bunch of other 6-note scales available in the app. Lydian, Mixolydian, one for trance music, one for dance music, and several others.
