Just when you thought it was safe to use iPhone Music Software without everybody thinking that you’re a complete Apple fanboy, Thomas Edwards has introduced a new app that lets you make music by blowing on your iPhone.
Here’s what Edwards has to say about his app, Breath:
This app senses your breath on the microphone, then sends information based on the power of your breath using OSC to electronic music applications that use OSC.
You can set the IP address and UDP port of the destination, as well as a breath level threshold to begin sending the OSC messages.
It’s great to see people taking a mass-produced piece of gear like the iPhone and finding new ways to make music with it. But something tells me you might look cooler playing the keytar.
It’s a free download in the App Store.
If you give Breath a try, leave a comment with your thoughts on it!
perhaps "blowing your iphone" is not the best headline. "blowing into your iphone" would be more appropriate.
