Interaction designer Marek Bereza created the Speakatron – a bizarre mouth-controlled synthesizer – for Music Hack Day London, held Sept 4-5th (hey – that’s two music hack days!).
Speakatron uses your webcam to identify when your mouth is open and plays a sound if it is. It uses the shape of your mouth and its position on the screen to help control the sound.
Speakatron was selected as a best hack of Music Hack Day London. It’s available as a download from Bereza’s site.
If you’ve got other ideas about mouth control & synths, let us know!
nooo this is brilliant! downloading it now!
Refreshing!
