  1. lol @ 2GB, 1GB and 512mb. What is this? 1998? Put a 64GB in that thing 2GBRAM and a bigger screen. its 2011. I can't wait for for a Workstation Killer. I don't want to buy no extra effects cards, sound module cards… Its OLD.

  2. Totally agree with Beat. Why can't they put at least 8GB of memory into one synth? Still it wouldn't be much, but 2GB max is just ridiculous nowadays

  3. There is a point where evolving the product in small increments to reduce production costs and still seem to offer new appeal means that this product loses traction and becomes obsolete before being launched. I believe the XF is experiencing just that. Too few new things, new thing not big enough (no mLan, ridiculously small and expensive flash memory, pay thru the roof for FW card, addition of Wav. playback in the MP3 age, go figure). Wake up to yourself Yamaha and good luck with the sales. BTW, the XF7 costs around US$3k in the states and AUD 6k when the australian dollars is near on par with the US dollars, WTF.

  4. You guys have NO idea what 8 GB of FLASH (notice I said FLASH) RAM costs…much less 64GB.
Please continue to make fools of yourselves though.

  5. I am unfortunately including myself among the disheartened with Yamaha. Someone should step up to the plate and kick there butts off the stage. The more bucks you give these guys… the lazier they are going to get. No honesty. On that note… Is there any of yamaha's keyboards that will let you record any sound the board makes? I've had it to here> with all the proprietary sounds where the record function doesn't work… Your not buying a piano any more… it's a hand in your pocket… and most who just want to make music… don't even realize it. It aint worth having the confidence in "y"amaha anymore.. Time for a change… at least there is Linux. Wish they would make some amazing hardware too… stuff you can tinker with like you could with good ol fashioned cars… It's all going to come back to you one day yamaha!

  6. Good board. Great sound!! where is the wide touch screen ??? even the cheapest cellphone has a touch screen…I agree with beat, it's 2011. come on yamaha…

  7. I don’t know WHY some of you keep making fools of yourselves. There’s a REASON groups like Bon Jovi & artists like Michael McDonald choose Yamaha — they make QUALITY!!!!! For quality, you have to PAY, obviously!!! For example… would you want a shitty plastic chassis surrounding a keyboard?! Um… for me… I’ll take that solidly built metal that Yamaha has used, as far as I know, since the S08… damn I miss that keyboard…. friggin’ robbers who were lookin’ for quick $… but that’s another story.

    Have a nice day.
