Highly Liquid has released a new series of MIDI decoders – the MSA MIDI Decoder – that accepts MIDI input and can be used to control a variety of devices in response to MIDI messages.
In other words, you can use MIDI to control the world!
Is the guitarist in your band getting a bit wanky on the guitar solo?
Ignite the Tesla Coil! Bwa-ha-ha-ha!
There are several varieties of the MSA MIDI Decoder.
You can use each output of the MSA-P & MSA-R as you would use an SPST switch. Use the MSA-T to control a variety of DC loads including solenoids, motors, LEDs, incandescent bulbs, or power relays.
Features of the new design include:
- Easier programming via optional “learn” method
- LED indicator for each output circuit
- A variety of output modes based on user input
- User-upgradable firmware
The boards are available in several options, starting at around $50. See the Highly Liquid site for details.
