Here’s a quick demo of the Peavey AmpKit Link for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
The Amp Kit Link interface features a 1/4″ jack input, suitable for guitars and bass and a 1/8″ mini-jack stereo output, which can be connected to headphones, amplifiers, or powered speakers.
Unlike other iPhone/iPod guitar interfaces, the AmpKit Link requires two AAA batteries to power it’s headphone amplifier. At first, this might sound like a disadvantage. This is designed to let the circuitry inside the AmpKit Link offer a better quality output signal and eliminate the “cross talk” interference that could otherwise occur.
Although Peavey recommends their AmpKit software, the interface should be compatible with all iPhone based music software that supports audio recording.
