It's really not too bad. Would really love to see an update to add basic looping functionality, maybe a filter/flanger if there's any power left to be squeezed out of the A4 chip… but otherwise a pretty solid app.
This might make me upgrade my 3.2 iPad. Dammit!
In-depth review at http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2010/12/djay-for-ipa… – I was very impressed. There's room for them to enhance it in future but for the core stuff it does, it does it very well, and you could definitely rock a party with it.
@xendless: I've heard that there's still some CPU left to play with! 🙂
Nice use of the ipads touchscreen there!
I bought it too and I agree…. it's pretty good and a few simple loops and it would be awesome.
This does look good, but I haven't jumped for it yet. Looping would be an important addition.
I'm thinking that they are still not pushing the limits of the iPad's capabilities, yet. The iPad is as powerful as most DJ laptops of 4-5 years ago……

Great review – glad to hear that they got so much right.
