  1. I hoping for a RECYCLE module inside reason… a proper way to chop samples without constantly switching applications. Non-destructive chop points like Ableton's warp markers would be awesome… This (and the dated sound quality) are the reasons I stopped using Prophead stuff years ago.

Another cool thing would a brand new app like Reason, but built from the ground up with modern tech. Reason is almost 10 years old now, and the workstation sounds/ sampling engine is dated and lacks the awesomeness of, for example, Kontakt or Trilian…

Or maybe a merging of record and reason? Anything but a new commercial refill PLEASE!!!

  2. Let's have a look at the picture itself… The backpack on the edge of the swing says "Essentials" and little guy is crying for help (with the delay). Also there is a trigger under the bench and crocodile is trying to eat the essential backpack… Get it? I don't…
Bottom line is – it is uninspiring promo that will bring some kind of uninspiring product or service from Props… Forget about Reason for iPad – it will never happen 🙁

  3. Reason "in the cloud". If a crocodile eats your last "essential" composition, il will "help" to have it backup'd somewhere online "in the cloud" 😉

  4. I'm afraid that you are spot on… 😉
It really looks like Props wil be jumping on the "cloud" bandwagon.
Oh well, as I mentioned above – uninspiring…

  5. I remember reading about something like Reason Essential – more or less a lite version of Reason to accompany audio hardware. It seems something like that has already been there before, but I guess Propellerhead give it a second try. Maybe it will also be sold as a seperate product for an entry level price. Nothing special, I would say…

  6. I don't understand people who talk about the sounds in a sampler as being dated, if you don't like them then put new sounds into it. Easy.

  7. Teaser on Monday, announcement on Tuesday? What's this? Tension-building marketing for people with short attention spans?
