Avid has introduced the M-Audio Keystation Mini 32 – a portable USB-powered 32-note keyboard MIDI controller that offers plug-and-play operation with your computer or iPad.
Features:
- 32 low-profile, velocity-sensitive mini-keys – great feel in an ultra-portable design.
- 4 assignable controls—three buttons and a knob – real-time control of your DAW and virtual instruments.
- Selectable velocity curves including one for drum programming – customize the keyboard to your playing style.
- Robust, high-quality build – withstands frequent, mobile use.
- USB bus-powered and class compliant – easy plug-and-play operation with your computer or iPad.
The M-Audio Keystation Mini 32 is expected to be available in September for US $99.95.
With a little of knobs it would have been a good substitute of the (imho) wonderful Edirol PCR M1 🙂
He sounds so nice and supportive that I want to buy one of these! 😀
… Maybe I'll wait for the reviews to come in.
I like how you can place it next to your laptop and it won't prevent you from typing – a trick impossible with my korg microkey. Microkey however has two wheels and three full octaves, but in terms of looks and portability keystation mini keeps a stiff upper lip. Pretty cool.
48 key foldable would be better. 32 is constricting.
