Developer Matti Jokipii has released a new soft synth for Windows, Kairatune:

This is really cool to bad they can’t make one for mac it would be really use full!
This is a must have IMO, at the very least give it a fair chance.
Its different, and I think the author doesn’t exaggerate when he claims that this was aimed at musicians first. When you approach this critter from a technical perspective then you might be hesitant to pick it up. Try setting those ideas aside and give it a fair chance; play with it to check if you like what you hear. Chances are high that you’ll do.
