Reader André Redert sent word for Voice Synth, a new iPad/iPhone app that developers say lets you sound like a Lion, harmony choir, a Dalek, baby, Barry White, a guitar, a Japanese Koto, a thunderstorm and more.
See the tutorial demo and full specs below.
Voice Synth is $10, but is currently available for $4.99 in the App Store.

Great synth Vocoder – i think its one of the best on ipad and IOS – hopefully the midi capabilities rock !
“Voice Controlled Synth” i thought I was going to see a synth being controlled by voice commands. (Pitch Up, LFO down, Change Patch to MOOG Bass, etc..)
Maybe that would work with Siri in a couple of years!
You can wait a few years if you prefer, but currently Thumbjam and a few others can do it.
Is there something like this available for a desktop Mac? Apps are fine, but I have a need for something that will work within a friend’s ProTools/Logic setup (I am not an Apple biter).
