At The 2012 NAMM Show: Audio equipment manufacturer Universal Audio today announced their new partnership with UK-based plug-in develor Sonnox as Direct Developers for the UAD-2 Powered Plug-Ins platform. This partnership will bring Sonnox’s award-winning mixing and mastering plug-ins to UAD-2 DSP Accelerator hardware, a highly-regarded audio production platform in the professional recording industry.
With Universal Audio’s software development kit, Oxfordshire-based Sonnox will be able to directly create software for the UAD Powered Plug-Ins platform, and to sell these plug-ins via UA’s online store.

This feels like going backwards…. Sonnox started on the powercore platform, they made the move to native and now going to develop for UAD?…. it doesnt make sense to me. I hope that they at least dont abandon the native plug ins as they did with the poco versions
