Is this the ultimate Korg Monotron mod?
Probably not – but we’re pretty sure that nobody has ever tried this before.
Reader Keith Handy got tired of trying to play his Monotron with the built-in ribbon controller.
His solution was to build a ‘thing’ out of a drawer, with a piece of wood attached with some hinges with a ‘screw-thingy’ stylus. And the Rube Goldberg style contraption actually works, allowing for more accurate control of the Monotron’s pitch.
don’t try n fix the ribbon controller…just add cv/gate or midi…much more useful!
I’m sure it would be, but it’s fun to do stuff like this, knowing full well that it’s a bit silly.
Ah yes, April fools day……. i am sure theres much more of this ‘humour’ to come from many a website.
Thinking outside the box!
Nicely done!
or you can use a bic mechanical pencil…umm duh
It’s not a mod. It is the world’s first handmade Monotron Dock Station! =D
