Here’s an official sneak preview of the PPG Wavegenerator iPad App From Wolfgang Palm.
PPG Wavegenerator is a ‘next generation’ iOS based synth from Wolfgang Palm, the inventor of the classic PPG Wave keyboard.
Pricing and availability are to be announced.
Wavegenerator has been described as a synth “worth buying an iPad for.” Check it out and let us know what you think!

I hope to see this in the app store real soon. I want to use it with my ASR-X Pro to sample all the sounds I create with it.
very cool!
I am really looking forward to this synth. But I’ll be honest, that was a pretty unappealing demo of the audio capabilities. Too scratchy for my taste.
I’d say Wolfgang knows more than thee about audio, why diss? Just buy the app when it comes out? Scratchy? Why diss, sounded just fine..
the guy just expressed his opinion. why diss?
Hard to say from the demo, but it sounded a lot like an Animoog to me.
I got an Animoog feel from it too. I just hope he have taken full advantage of the multitouch ui of the ipad in terms of “knob-tweaking”.
Sounds like too much bit-crusher.
yep. also sounded just like my audio kontrol when it goes out of whack.
i am sure its a great app but this just might be the first app i pass on. not my taste.
I’m sure it can make all kinds of great sounds. I just think they used too much bit-crushing for their demo.
i hope so. sure does have a digital edge to it though.
I’m in, love PPG. <3
Gosh, fussing over one preset? The app got hundreds and er…lots of dials and faders and whatnot
This looks amazing! Animoog on steroids? That’s what it appears to be. Let me at it!
This is one of the apps I am anticipating. The demo might not be that great but the mans reputation and history is reason to be excited. We’ll know better soon when more details emerge and a price is shown.
Looks good. Wonder how much MIDI out will cost:)
hehehe
Looks like a cool and powerful app. Not the most “slick” sneak-peek, (i.e, I think the audio could have been a tad more musical and shown more range). Still, not a bad first impression. Hopefully, the next demo will show a little more of the things that will distinguish it from Animoog. To me it is very powerful looking.
Meh. I’ll probably end up buying it, though.
Hey guys the audio demos are now appearing on Wolfgangs Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/PPGWavegenerator
