I really enjoyed that! That’s a real track, not the typical sci-fi escapade that one may expect from a “modular jam”. Nice, smooth tones.
I agree. I even tap my foot to this. It would be right at home at an Air or Bent album. It reminds me of Bent’s Exercise 1.
I enjoyed this, because it had clarity as a classy alternative to the Goth-y distortion or overly-mechanical dance drivel you often encounter. Its only lack is the same one I (don’t) hear repeatedly: Why is there no fluid melodic lead and a possible harmony to put some finishing muscle to it? A lot of e-music leaves me unsatisfied because it always sounds incomplete when its too sparse. Every modular purchase should come with a legal requirement to listen to Wendy Carlos’s “Timesteps” in its entirety before you leave. Due respect to the rest of the field, but that piece is a serious gold standard for modular muscle.
