Sound designer Luftrum has released this sneak preview of Luftrum 9 – a soundbank for u-He Diva:
Here’s what he has to say about Luftrum 9:
The soundbank contains cinematic pads, gentle arpeggios and synth emulations inspired by Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Royksopp, Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, William Orbit etc. but also a few soundscapes, sound effects and strings found their way to the soundbank.
2/3 of the soundbank are pads and arpeggios – so it’s pad arp haven. Since DIVA doesn’t contain an arpeggiator yet, all arpeggios in the YouTube audio demo were made with the Kirnu Arpeggiator – which is free to download.
Luftrum 9 is set for release in November. Details to come.

These sound fantastic!
Damn that sounds good.
Can anyone identify the theme that runs from approx 2:45 to 3:05? I can name most of the other themes he’s jamming on, but this one I recognize but I don’t remember where it’s from.
I believe it’s “Reve” by Vangelis
Sounds like Time by Hans Zimmer
Oh n/m — Hans Zimmer, “Time” from _Inception_.
This is too good a synth to be relegated to reproducing the signature sounds of artists whose first defining moments occurred in the late 70s and early 80s. When you use a sound that instantly says **VANGELIS** to 80% of the listeners, what the heck was the goal? Vangelis sounds like himself most of all. Whatever his influences are, they definitely don’t stand out like neon. Don’t let nostalgia cramp your style. Build on it. Just for the record, DIVA is a great synth, IMO. I can’t put my finger on it, but something about it gives it a great feel.
Sounds really nice.
at 4.32, can someone tell me the name of that song?
thx a lot
As far as i can remember It’s from Tangerine Dream.
The album should be “Rubycon” but not 100% sure (well, just 99%).
Anyway you can also check in “Phaedra” and “Ricochet” album: you will not waste your time, all of them are great Krautrock albums! Enjoy!
If this was hardware, it would be as huge as the Minibrute.
Very well done! Beautifully crafted sounds, Luftrum.
Re: 4:32 — can’t say for sure, but I think it’s based on Tangerine Dream, from _Phaedra_ or maybe _Rubycon_.
