There was an explosion of sexy gear at this year’s NAMM Show.
Ken MacBeth couldn’t make it this year because of a backlog of work – but he shared this photo of his MacBeth Mk1 Modular Synthesizer and his new Nexus touchplate controller.
Anyone else want him to do a demo for this monster synth combo?
If he’s too busy, I’ll do one for him π
That’s hot.

Ken MacBeth is a true renaissance artist
I’m happy just looking… his stuff is a work of art
Me too. While I don’t see myself buying his synths, I really enjoy seeing and listening to his demos.
It’s like with exotic cars, can’t buy them, buy I’m glad someone can so they can continue to be made and I can keep seeing them.
Black & white done right.
If only some genius could create a network of people owning all those gear most of us only dream of. One could send a midi file to that service, then get back the audio file played by those monsters for a fee. It would not be as perfect as turning the knobs yourself but maybe you could ask for X version with this amount of subs, this amount of pw, etc, etc, by filling out an html request page.
Just an open idea
The latency would be a killer π
I want that touchplate controller. Any idea if it’s USB-compatible, so I could use it with my soft-synth? Looks amazing.
