Native Instruments has announced a permanent price reduction on its Traktor Kontrol S4 DJ System to $899 USD / 799 EUR.
The Traktor S4 controller combines a four-channel mixer section with high-quality control elements and an integrated audio interface. The included Traktor Pro 2 software offers Remix Deck technology, a loop recorder, and Macro FX.
Native notes that “Traktor Kontrol S4 is available at retailers worldwide and at the NI Online Shop, while supplies last.” Think they might have something new on the way?

The funny thing is, no matter how much they update it. 95% of the “DJ’s” who buy it will never really learn how to utilize it’s full potential. They just stick to one track going into another.
They need an updated version. I almost pulled the trigger on one of these until I found out that NI could not ensure compatibility with USB 3.0. I just hope they keep the MIDI Din In/Out on the new one so I can sync my two Electribes with Traktor and have their audio coming in the two external audio inputs to play through Deck C/D. I know I could prob just use an external MIDI interface, but that would just be more gear to lug around.
