Developer Alex Radzishevsky is offering a discount to Synthtopia readers on his app Audio Watermarking Tools (AWT).
AWT2 is a set of software utilities for embedding (and retrieving) digital watermarks within (from) audio files. AWT2 lets you digitally and inaudibly sign audio content (music track).
Those who buy 2-bytes or 4-bytes version of AWT2 can use this code “2E8EB1CB” (no quotes) until March 15 and get 20% discount from the original price of AWT2.
Here are the details on Audio Watermarking Tools:
AWT2 Features:
- cross-platform software (Windows, Linux, Mac OS, …)
- intuitive GUI front-end with drag-and-drop support
- console tools for easy automation and quick deployment on servers
- detailed documentation with examples and tips

See the AudioWatermarking site for details.
This’ll help me sleep tonight ;o)
Nice. Now I think I’ll give this a try. Thanks for the discount.
patented technology to imperceptibly embed watermarks directly into the audio content so that they cannot be removed without damaging the original audio quality.
SO ………. this works if you run your audio thru RECYCLE …..
OR if you upsample it to 128k
OR if you ……
——-
watermarking DOES not work ….. it never has !!
it can always be removed in the same way it can be read
Dear All,
The developer is here!
Yes, AWT2 watermarks DO survive AD/DA conversion, upsampling, encoding into even very low-bitrate MP3 and even multiple transcoding to MP3 and back. You can make sure in that yourself.
There are no miracles, so of course if you heavily mix the watermarked audio with something else, then it may kill the watermark. However, the whole idea is to apply watermarking on the very last stage, to the final master, before you pass your track to someone.
Don’t be skeptical and just give it a try.
alex i do sound design . ..
these are modern times
you a do ANYTHING to audio
your product does offer a LEVEL of protection
it is better than nothing
but ….are you really unaware that you can extract AWT2 watermarks ..?
— people debate gun control
– while others print guns —
and some people have not used a 3d printer yet
Dear FSK1138, I re-read your post twice and unfortunately could not understand what you meant.
You wrote: “SO ………. this works if you run your audio thru RECYCLE ….. OR if you upsample it to 128k OR if you ……”.
There are no ultimate tools.
Do you use a computer? Let me ask you – What if you switch of electricity in your home? Will it be able to work?
Also, let me disagree with you about “watermarking DOES not work ….. it never has !!”.
Please never t speak ultimately. There are several good watermarking solutions on the market that DO work (I’m not talking about mine specifically). You aren’t even aware sometimes that you’re using/listening/downloading watermarked content.
In any case, AWT2 is a tool. Like any other tool – a hammer, for example.
You can use it if you find it useful and suitable for your needs. You should not use it, If you don’t need it or don’t know how to use it.
AWT2 provides a solution. I’ll be glad if it helps someone to solve some issue. And I already have many big and small happy customers who found this product very helpful. I don’t force anyone to use it.
Warm regards.
ALEX
– i Do you use a computer(s)
– i also build them
– if the power in my home goes
– i have 6 hours of UPS backup .. i also have solar power .
so let me explain ..
first —
i never mententioned transcoding to other formats ???
———–
Propellerhead Recycle is a beat slicer – it cuts up audio into loops
when people steal music it is often for the good parts not the whole song
– upsampling gives you a file that is technicalty at a higher bit rate
from this you can “extract” the watermark
then downsampled to the original rate
these are not the TOOLS i was alluding to …..
i am not trying to undermine your product
— i did say ” your product does offer a LEVEL of protection”
cheers
— i have nothing against you personaly —
FSK1138, of course AWT2 (and indeed, any watermarking) can protect you from cutting into loops and mixing. No doubt.
What AWT2 can do is to allow you tracking down bad music buyers who buy your track and then share it on torrents.
Of course I meant “AWT2 (and indeed, any watermarking) canNOT protect you from cutting into loops and mixing. No doubt.”…
@FSK All security devices can be broken. This doesn’t mean security is bad. No one is going to bother going through the upsampling steps you described in order to remove a watermark. It’s completely unrealistic.
why is stuff like that promoted here?
whats next? DRM tools? ????
