Reactable Celebrates Birthday With Freebies and Sale

reactableReactable Systems is celebrating its fourth anniversary with freebies and a sale:

  • Reactable is offering Reactable mobile for 50% off through March 3
  • They’re also offering Oliver Huntemann’s interactive Reactable album for free during the whole month of March.

Reactable is a performance oriented synthesizer that combines modular synthesis, sampling, digital audio effects and DJing with multitouch control.

Note: Based on the feedback we received on this post, the discounted price and free album have not been made available to some areas and/or some platforms. We’ve verified the info in our post against the Reactable Systems website, so you may want to check back there to see if they update it with more details.

  1. Seriously, what kind of crap is that? Not that I use my Android stuff as more than a midi controller, but I wouldve liked to have checked this out.

  2. If i already have Jasuto, is there any reason i’d want to get this too? I don’t know enough about reactable app and the differences.

    thanks

    1. Jasuto and Reactable are quite different. Jasuto gives you more in-depth control to do weird stuff, and has a broader feature palette. Reactable is more straight-forward, more something you launch and play around with. They are similar on a surface level but the things you can do with it are different. Personally I found Reactable to be something that can be quite fun to play around with in company, with friends, but apart from that I rarely ever use it. You might want to check Audulus if you’re into these kind of apps though…

    1. Not free in Sweden either. Regarding Reactable I’m on the fence. It looks fun, but I only have an iPhone and it looks fiddly on it. Plus for looping I already have Loopy and other Audiobus compatible apps, so I’m unsure about how much I would practically get out of Reactable.

  3. Hate to say this, but why the hell isn’t this on Windows 8?

It would kick ass on the bigger screens – it feels cramped on an iPad.
