Developer Don Garbutt has released Spektrumsynth 2.0 for Reaktor:
This instrument is several synthesizers in one: edgy shimmering digital sweeps can be stacked with aggressive lead sounds and rich, thick organic pads. With hugely independent sound sections, this is great for monumentally fat polyphony, crazy lead sounds and sequenced/arpeggiated internal movement, all happening at the same time! Note-independent pan movement puts you inside the sound, surrounded by pulsing, morphing events enhanced with chorus, distortion, parametric e.q,, delay and reverb.
Here’s a video introduction to Spektrumsynth:

Features:
- Wave-table synthesis with signal routing to 5 filters (based on a modified OKI Computer instrument)
- Granular synthesis with independent multimode filter
- 2 Solo mono/poly synthesizer modules with oscillator sync, 2 arpeggiators and 2 separate multimode filters
- FM synthesis
- Individual noise generator module with filter
- Mixer for separate filter signals
- •Independent Unison voice stacking/de-tuning options for wavetable and Solo sections
- 6 Individual (5 polyphonic, note-independent) panning modules for filter output signals, with pan modulation
- 16 envelope generators (4 are synced multi-breakpoint EGs, similar to “performance modulators” in Massive)
- 8 mono LFOs, 8 polyphonic LFOs
- 6 step-sequencers
- Sample and hold with field source sweepable between 2 LFOs and noise
- ‘Stunning’ modulation routing with 20 modulation patchers, 16 with side-chain range-modulation
- 2-dimensional modulation targeting
- Full parameter automation and MIDI controller assign
- 2 chorus processors, dual synced delay and reverb effects
- Numerous internal (hard-wired) modulation connections
- 4 individual portamento controls for wave-table, Solo 1+2 and FM/Sync
- “Humanized” vibrato option: adjustment for vertical pitch offset of LFO sweep
Spektrumsynth is available now for US $49.95.
I think someone was looking at all of their soft synths and said to themselves “nope, none of these have enough knobs.”
You haven’t seen the original Wilderbeast Super v1.3 for Reaktor by David Hobson… 😉
Does it have a global parameter randomization button with adjustable transition time?
There are quite a few ‘borrows’ from James Walker-Hall’s stuff – as stated above – and also various other Reaktor Library and User Library uploads. I feel uneasy that Don Garbutt is selling this Ensemble when he is using Reaktor building ideas from other people.
This should have been uploaded to the Reaktor User Library. I can appreciate the hard work that has gone into this, but seeing as this seems to be ‘Educational’, then this should be given away free.
Actually, the only sections derived from existing instruments are the accredited James Walker Hall and Timothy Lamb Oki Computer wavetable section, the Koyaanisqqtsi arpeggiator from Chris List and the reverb and delay. The rest was hand-built, and any similarities to User Group ensembles are due to the use of primary modules.
the interface seems to be a little bit ios7-ish
sorry
Not sure if you’re trying to troll this or troll iOS, cause that comment makes zero sense.
The Interface uses ‘default’ Reaktor knobs/faders etc, etc. Normally people who sell Reaktor Ensembles spend a bit of time designing a nice GUI – for example Twisted Tools.
It looks like a hipster unicorn vomited a rainbow synth.
Yes! Always judge synths by their color, not by their sounds!
