This video demos some of the presets of Micrologue, the new software synth introduced in Cubasis 1.5.
Micrologue is based on Steinberg’s VSTi Retrologue, a Moogesque virtual analog synthesizer.

I’m looking forward to trying the Micrologue! The demo sure sounds really good.
you got downvoted by saying you liked something? wow, what kind of retards would do that…
Hahahahaha yeah it’s kind off funny
I agree: Micrologue sounds really good. I do wish the admission price wasn’t quite so high. I do appreciate that Steinberg doesn’t devalued their user’s investment with frequent sale prices as it’s painful to pay for an app only to see it given away or steeply discounted shortly after.
Cubasis has been released quite some time ago and Steinberg has never dropped the price of it once. Personally, I think it is sound investment, is updated frequently, has great support and is going from strength to strength.
Love it 🙂
I don’t know why it is, but I swear this is a better set of presets than I’ve heard in a while. I’d like to hear an A/B comparison with iMini, assuming they have a similar architecture and target sound.
Sadly Cubasis doesn’t work on the iPad 1, so I’ll probably have to wait until I get an iPad 5 or they make an iPhone version…
Im really liking the sounds produced by this.. then again maybe its just a well made.
What are some hardware & vst synths that produce similar sounds to this?
Just checked, this is based off of the steinberg retrologue vst.
Just bought cubasis 1.5 and the new synth is really quite good, great pads and lead sounds…. Cubasis for iPad is actually quite good, doubt with out the new synth I would ever of purchased it, but I’m very happy with what I’ve got… Good mobile studio set up., still a bit pricey…
I read a review strongly indicating that I wont be able to import my own samples or sample directly into my project to slice and dice audio and assign it to keys in the keyboard and pads on the drum pad on cubasis.
Is this an issue that has been fixed?
Just use Beatmaker2 as an input into Cubasis via Audiobus or InterAppAudio. That way you can use BM2’s tremendous slicing/sample editing capabilities and still use Cubasis’ polished layout.
