I have the MiniBrute and I love it. Great synth. Take your time to learn it and it will sound awesome.
Here is a video I made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L40Wu8SBHhc
Please someone do a video comparison with the “25keys trinty” : Moog Sub Phatty vs Arturia Minibrute vs Novation BassStation II
😉
imho , novation bass II “kinda of kawasaki copy of triumph motorcycle with some new feature ” , moog “harley davidson sound (c) (r) etc ” (some people do like fender/gibson/marshall And moogish sound ok ok ok nostalgy pfff these people live in past !!!) and
arturia minibrute a balanced miix of a roland SH serie with the french touch a cross over of Tron Motorcycle and a Ducatti n: naff say !!!
u want 70’s sound classic and oldschool ( u are a grand pa “the buggles” take moog “collector , knew paths zero surprise ” …
more modern , work with DAW need integration shift button and double functions , “liquid and clear sound” with famous sharp and nasal british mixing touch take novation .
and if you plays with heart and feeling , on the fly , with an instrument which will be an instant classic with a different fliter than other too often listen buy the minibrute !!!!
I have a Minibrute and I absolutely love it. Well, I did love it. As of yesterday it no longer turns on. Thinking it may be either a PSU or firmware problem. I am on my knees praying I can save it.
If you want another great review by Theo Bloderer with lots of good sound examples of the possibilities of the MicroBrute, look at this site: http://greatsynthesizers.com/en/test/arturia-microbrute-tiny-on-the-outside-huge-on-the-inside/#comment-40976
