IK Multimedia has released an expansion pack for SampleTank iOS that turns your iPad or iPhone into an orchestral sound module.

The new SampleTank update (v. 1.6) introduces the Miroslav Philharmonik – Mobile Edition, a downloadable, pro-quality orchestral and choir sound collection. It contains 100 sounds from Miroslav Philharmonik, an acclaimed virtual instrument for Mac/PC, which features sounds from legendary sampling sessions by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in Prague. With the ability to add downloadable content, SampleTank is more expandable than ever, and IK will be releasing other sound collections for it in the future.

The Miroslav Philharmonik – Mobile Edition is the first such collection available, and can be easily purchased and downloaded from within the app. It provides you with a huge library of orchestral sounds taken from IK’s highly regarded Miroslav Philharmonik instrument for Mac/PC. The sounds were recorded during legendary sampling sessions with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra at Dvorak Hall in Prague.
