Sunday Synth Jam: Here’s a little Windows multi-touch music making, with nucleon & sacco at the 2013 Image-Line developers meet.
While readers are probably more familiar with musicians using iPads for multi-touch music making, nucleon and sacco take advantage of FL Studio’s Performance Mode, jamming on a Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 and a Microsoft Surface Pro.
The audio does not even sync with the inputs on the devices..
Because they are not triggering the audio itself, they are either retriggering slices (as with the drums on the tablet) or using effects (as you can see they are all momentary triggers and I see Gross Beat mapped to the launchpad). Sync is probably done via the new app they are going to release, IL Remote.
No sync? how could that be? Is it a toy?
– they have standard usb ports … you can use a $30 usb midi interface to sync
